Since 2014, when we first opened our doors in Glasgow’s ever-evolving Finnieston area, we’ve worked closely with local suppliers to shape an award-winning offering built on the finest seasonal Scottish produce. Over the years, we’ve transformed a historical commercial space within a traditional Glasgow tenement into a warm, contemporary restaurant - refined but never stuffy. We serve seasonal dishes, exceptional wines, and above all else, outstanding Scotch beef.

Porter & Rye is the result of a tight-knit team who’ve spent the last decade working together to building something special. From day one, our talented chefs have worked hand in hand with an array of local businesses and suppliers to source the finest cuts of beef. That commitment to quality has earned accreditations by the Scotch Beef Club, a mark we wear with pride. We have spent the last 3 years in the Top 101 Steak Restaurants in the World. In 2025 we were awarded our first AA Rosette award as well as our first entry into the Good Food Guide. It’s this dedication, collaboration, and consistency that have shaped Porter & Rye into the restaurant it is today.
